Best selfie wins!

Run photo contests with fan voting, live leaderboards, and prize draws. Every vote = another visit, another share, another sponsor impression.

Enable Voting

Go to Dashboard > Fan Cams > Settings > Schedule tab > Photo Contest section. Toggle "Enable photo voting" on.

Set Contest Title

Enter a catchy title — e.g. "Best Selfie Wins a Signed Shirt!" This appears as a banner at the top of the gallery.

Add a Prize

Enter the prize description — e.g. "Signed team shirt + 2 VIP tickets". This motivates fans to vote and share.

Save

Click "Save Contest". Voting is now live on the gallery page.

How Fans Vote

On the gallery page, each photo has a star button. Fans tap to vote. One vote per device per photo — no vote manipulation. The lightbox also has a large vote button.

Leaderboard

The top 3 photos are showcased at the top of the gallery with gold, silver, and bronze ranking badges. This creates competition and encourages sharing.

Pick a Winner

After voting closes, check the leaderboard for the photo with the most votes. The fan's contact details (if they provided email/name) are in your Fan Data page.

Pro Tips

  • Announce the contest on your big screen, social media, and PA system: "Vote for the best selfie — winner announced at full time!"
  • Set a clear deadline to create urgency: "Voting closes at 5pm Sunday!"
  • The more fans share the gallery to get votes, the more exposure your brand and sponsors receive — it's a viral loop.
  • Combine contests with the "Prize Draw" form preset to collect contact details for prize delivery.
  • Run a new contest each matchday to build a habit. Fans come back every week to participate.

FAQ

Can fans vote for their own photo?

Yes — one vote from their device. They'll need friends to vote from other devices to climb the leaderboard.

Can someone manipulate the votes?

Each device can only vote once per photo, enforced by a database-level unique constraint on device fingerprint + photo ID. This prevents casual manipulation.

Can I see who voted?

Votes are anonymous — you can see vote counts but not individual voter identities.

Can I run contests without collecting fan data?

Yes. Voting works independently of the form builder. But without contact data, you won't be able to contact the winner — so we recommend at least collecting an email.

How do I announce the winner?

Check the leaderboard after voting closes, find the winning photo, then look up their email/name in Fan Data. Announce on social media, your big screen, or via email.
