FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Go Fan Cam doesn’t offer a free trial, but our Day Pass at $49 gives you unrestricted access for 24 hours: every feature, every integration, full branding and sponsor tracking included. It’s designed as a low-risk way to test Go Fan Cam with your actual venue, your actual production setup, and your actual fans before committing to a monthly or annual subscription. Most clubs run a Day Pass on one matchday and sign up for Starter or Pro straight after.

A link is a persistent fan cam activation tied to one screen or one venue. Each link has its own permanent QR code, its own admin page, its own branding settings, and its own session history. Think of it as one fan cam instance. Starter includes 1 link, ideal for a single venue with one big screen. Pro includes 5 links, perfect for clubs with multiple screens, concourses, or hospitality areas. League plans offer a custom link count for organisations operating across many venues. You can add extra links to any plan at per-link pricing whenever you need more.

Go Fan Cam works with any production software that supports browser source inputs. That includes vMix, OBS Studio, Tricaster, Wirecast, CasparCG, Resolume, and more. You simply paste a browser source URL into your production system. No plugins, no drivers, no additional software to install. The URL is permanent per link, so you set it up once and it stays configured for every future event. If your production system can display a web page, it can display Go Fan Cam.

Absolutely. Each link operates independently with its own QR code, branding, and session data, so you can run fan cam at multiple venues simultaneously from a single account. Pro includes 5 links out of the box, and you can add more at any time. League plans offer custom link counts for organisations running fan cam across an entire competition, region, or franchise network. There’s no per-venue fee. Just choose the plan that matches the number of links you need.

Yes. Go Fan Cam outputs via a standard browser source URL that’s compatible with vMix, OBS Studio, Tricaster, and any other production system that supports browser inputs. Paste the URL in once and it’s set permanently. It never changes between sessions or events. The output is 1920×1080, broadcast-ready, with smooth fade transitions between photos. No plugins required, no additional hardware, and no crew needed to operate it.

Yes. Go Fan Cam is built with data protection at its foundation, not bolted on as an afterthought. The platform is compliant with GDPR (UK and EU), CCPA (California), and the Australian Privacy Act. Every fan interaction captures explicit, informed consent before any photo is stored or displayed publicly. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is included with every subscription plan, and custom DPAs are available for League clients. Photos are automatically deleted after 90 days (approved) or 30 days (rejected). Consent records are retained for 12 months. Your organisation operates as the Data Controller; Go Fan Cam operates as the Data Processor. We provide the documentation and infrastructure so you stay in full control of your compliance posture.

Every plan is fully branded from day one: your logos, your colours, your frames, your fonts. The Go Fan Cam brand does not appear on any fan-facing surface, on the big screen output, or in the admin dashboard. Fans see your brand, not ours. For League-tier clients, we go further: white-label fan URLs mean fans visit a web address on your domain, and white-label output URLs mean even the browser source URL in your production system carries your brand. It’s your product, powered invisibly by our platform.

No. The fan experience is 100% browser-based. Fans scan a QR code and the camera opens instantly in their phone’s browser: full-screen, no visible browser chrome, no installation, no account creation. It works on every modern smartphone (iOS and Android) with no configuration. This is critical for adoption: the fewer steps between the QR code and the photo, the more fans participate. Zero friction means higher engagement, more sponsor impressions, and better data for your commercial team.

When no session is running, fans who scan the QR code see a branded holding page, not a broken link or an error screen. Your brand is represented 24/7, whether the fan cam is live or not. The big screen output also shows a branded holding state, so if your production system is running between events, there’s always something clean on screen. You control when sessions start and stop from the admin dashboard.

No. Photo deletion is admin-only. This ensures your team retains full content control at all times. Admins can delete individual photos or bulk-delete all photos from a session via the dashboard. Fans receive a confirmation screen after submitting their photo but are not notified about approval or rejection decisions. This design is intentional. It keeps the fan experience simple while giving your matchday team complete authority over what appears on the big screen.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees, no lock-in contracts, and no penalties. After your subscription ends, your dashboard remains accessible in a read-only state so you can still download past session data and stats PDFs. If you want to reactivate later, your branding settings and session history will be waiting for you.

Pro includes 5 links with extra links available as add-ons at per-link pricing, so you can scale up at any time without changing plan. If you need a custom link count, unlimited admin logins, white-label URLs, a dedicated account manager, or an SLA guarantee, the League plan is built specifically for organisations operating at scale. Contact us and we’ll put together a package that fits your structure.

Yes, with appropriate safeguarding controls in place. Go Fan Cam includes configurable minimum age settings, mandatory consent collection, and COPPA-aware warnings in the admin dashboard when youth event types are selected. We recommend reviewing your organisation’s safeguarding and child protection policies alongside our Data Processing Agreement before deploying at youth events. The platform gives you the tools, and your organisation sets the policy.

Starter and Day/Week Pass plans include email support with responses within one business day. Pro includes priority email support with faster response times and escalation paths. League includes a dedicated account manager who knows your setup, a personalised onboarding call to get you production-ready, and an SLA guarantee with defined uptime and response time commitments. Whatever your plan, we’re here to make sure fan cam runs flawlessly on matchday.
